Heroes and Villains

This is Chapter Five “Heroes and Helpers” from my book Crossing that Line – The Psychology of Poor People. This chapter discusses how “poor-minded people” see themselves as victims, relying on heroes to save them from villains. In comic books, heroes protect the weak, but in real life, heroes often suffer, become corrupted, or turn into villains. The chapter argues that instead of depending on heroes, people should value helpers who empower others to help themselves. It warns against false saviors who use fear and superstition to control others and emphasizes the importance of being a servant and helper, as advocated in Christian teachings.#marcusvbrown #izfly
