Don’t make your puppy guard the yard!

In my experience, many businesses falter within the first five years due to a lack of understanding of the fundamentals. At its core, business is simply about buying and selling. Investing, too, can be straightforward – using your money to make more.

Drawing a comparison to raising a guard dog, starting a business requires time and care. Often, entrepreneurs focus on the appearance of a business, investing in various aspects without making sales. The key is to emphasize being a seller rather than a buyer.

To succeed, start by requiring minimal resources from the business and gradually strengthen it. Respect the process – businesses, like puppies, need time and attention to become reliable. Keep it simple, focus on being a seller, and nurture your business patiently.

That’s my perspective as Marcus V Brown. Until next time.
